Visit South America's Punta Tombo Penguin Rookery

Take a walk among Magellan penguin nests and view the penguins in their natural habitat on this private day trip to the Punta Tombo Penguin Rookery. This is an amazing opportunity to experience the largest penguin nesting ground in continental South America.

The penguin nesting grounds of Punta Tombo thrive from September to March, hosting nearly two million Magellanic penguins. Beginning in November, Puerto Madryn visitors can actually see baby penguins first leaving their nests.

During this Punta Tombo excursion, you can explore the nesting grounds and get up close to the creatures. Punta Tombo is 100 miles south of Puerto Madryn, but the experience is worth the five hours of round trip travel. You won't want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime penguin experience.
